Professor John A. Hunt (D.Sc. Ph.D.) is a Professor in The Institute of Ageing and Chronic Disease and Head of the Unit of Clinical Engineering (U.K. Centre for Tissue Engineering (UKCTE)), with 21 years experience and over 120 peer reviewed scientific publications. John obtained his D.Sc. on the basis of significant published research in the field of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering entitled “Cell Material Homeostasis” in 2006. He is an Associate Editor for Biomaterials and Editorial board member for Current Opinion in Solid State and Materials Science and also the International Journal of Adipose Tissue (IJAT). He is a committee member on the board of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Analytical Biosciences Special Interest Group. John leads a research team comprised of academics, clinicians, post doctoral Research Fellows and Ph.D. students; the group disseminates their research internationally at the World Congress meetings on Stem Cells, Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine and Biomaterials. The research focuses on the assessment of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of stem cell biology, medical devices, biocompatibility and the tissue engineering process.

Dr. Marc Saadia is a Pediatric Dentist and the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Saadia has three practices, lectures internationally, has received many awards as well as being published in many journals and is a co-author of two books on Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Saadia has been a visiting lecturer at the University of California San Francisco, Nova University, University of San Antonio, University of El Salvador, and New York University. He chaired the prestigious Postgraduate and Residency programs in Pediatric Dentistry at the Universidad Tecnologica de Mexico and later became Director of Postgraduate Programs at the same University.

Dr Alan Boyd was appointed Honorary Professor in the College of Medical and Dental Sciences at the University of Birmingham Medical School. Professor Boyd was awarded this honor in recognition of his valuable contribution over many years to the commercial activities of the University of Birmingham. He was the Research & Development Director of Ark Therapeutics – a position he held from 1999 until 2005 (pre- & post-IPO) and has also held senior positions in the major pharma companies Glaxo and Zeneca. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians.
